About This A.R.E. Cap Guide

This A.R.E. cap guide is an independent website about A.R.E. truck caps, tonneau covers and parts. It is not made, run or endorsed by A.R.E. Accessories or RealTruck.

Search for A.R.E. caps and you’ll find sites calling themselves the “official” A.R.E. website when they aren’t. A.R.E.’s real site, 4are.com, now forwards to its owner RealTruck. We built this guide to give owners and shoppers straight answers with nothing dressed up as official.

This site is

  • An independent owner’s guide
  • Built from A.R.E.’s published terms and real owner reports
  • Linked to every source it uses
  • Paid for by Amazon commissions

This site is not

  • A.R.E. Accessories or RealTruck
  • An A.R.E. dealer or a store
  • A place to order, get a quote or file a warranty claim

Where the Facts Come From

Four kinds of sources, each used for what it’s good at. If we can’t confirm something, we say so or leave it out.

A.R.E.’s own pages

RealTruck’s A.R.E. product and warranty pages, for every model, feature and coverage term.

22/23

A.R.E. catalogs

Heights and weights the current pages don’t list. We say when a figure comes from an older catalog.

How We Check a Fact

  1. Find it at the source

A spec has to appear on an A.R.E. page or in an A.R.E. catalog before it goes on this site.

  2. Compare the sources

When an old launch article and the current page disagree, like the DCU Max frame, we show both.

  3. Leave prices out

Prices change by truck and by dealer, so we send you to Amazon or a dealer for a current one.

  4. Fix it when told

Corrections from readers get checked against the source and fixed on the page.

How the Site Is Paid For

Some links go to Amazon, and we earn a commission if you buy through them. It doesn’t change what you pay or what we write. As an Amazon Associate I earn from qualifying purchases.

Spotted a Mistake?

Tell us and we’ll check it and fix it. We can’t handle orders, quotes or warranty claims; those go to an A.R.E. dealer.
